Extra Curricular Activities
In my spare moments I enjoy spending time with my baby daughter. She is seven months old and is the light of my life. I look forward to coming home to her everyday because I know she will love me no matter what, and will not judge me based on how much homework I give her that day. She has a sister that just turned three and they already have a bond that is literally unbreakable. McKenzie asks for her baby sister every time she comes to visit and wants to know when it's going to be bath time so she can wash the shampoo from Emily's hair.
In addition to spending time with my family I enjoy working in my classroom. As a former elementary student I can remember the bright colors and the vivid images that adorned the classroom walls and welcomed me to my homeroom each morning. As a new teacher, I too want to evoke a feeling of welcome inside my kids when they walk through my doors. I have decided to use a jungle theme throughout my classroom and I am using all my spare time to think of creative additions that can be incorporated into this theme. I want my students to enjoy being at school and to be excited about learning, therefore, I will create an environment that is visually stimulating and encourages the brain to search for knowledge.
